Psychological Well-Being: Research and Interventions
The conference will be held on October 9 - 10, 2025, at the Faculty of Philosophy, Eqrem Çabej Street, # 21, 10000 Pristina, Republic of Kosovo.
Psychological well-being affects processes and activities essential to the functioning of the individual and society. Dealing with life challenges, decision-making, and establishing and maintaining healthy interpersonal relationships interact strongly with psychological well-being. The “Psychological Well-being: Research and Interventions” conference will be dedicated to psychological well-being viewed from different theoretical constructs and relevant practical models in connection with psychological phenomena.
Presentations and plenary sessions will focus on topics related to psychological well-being, but not limited to the following:
Psychological Well-being: What does the concept of psychological well-being theoretically represent? What risk and protective factors are associated with psychological well-being? In what direction should research and interventions related to psychological well-being be focused? What are the key economic parameters associated with overall well-being and psychological well-being? How does psychological well-being evolve in terms of financial aspects? What is the current role of institutions in promoting well-being, which impacts psychological well-being?
Resilience: What is the relationship between psychological well-being and resilience? What are the best practices for enhancing resilience through psychological well-being and vice versa?
Physical Health: What effect does psychological well-being have on physical health? And how does physical health affect psychological well-being? Which intervention programs are most effective for maintaining physical health and psychological well-being?
Social Relationships: What defines an individual's social relationships concerning psychological well-being? How do social relationships influence the preservation of psychological well-being? What are the key characteristics of social relationships today? When do people experience positivity in social relationships?
Productivity and Human Performance: What is the relationship between psychological well-being and productivity and performance? How can performance be optimized while also maintaining and enhancing psychological well-being? How productive are people today, and what is the link between psychological well-being and productivity? How does technology impact productivity, performance, and psychological well-being?
Emotional Health: What are the key techniques for enhancing emotional health? How does setting and pursuing personal goals influence emotional health and psychological well-being? What interventions most effectively promote positive emotions across personal, interpersonal, group, and intergroup contexts?
Environment: How does the environment impact psychological well-being? What are the primary characteristics of climate linked to well-being? What modifications can be implemented in the environment to enhance psychological well-being? How do climate and ecological changes influence psychological well-being?
Psychological Well-Being of Children and Adolescents: How does psychological well-being impact children and adolescents' cognitive development, social relationships, and social skills? What is the link between identity development, self-esteem, and psychological well-being in this age group? How can psychological well-being help prevent mental health disorders and enhance academic performance and career orientation for children and adolescents? What educational environments can be created to support the development of a healthy identity and self-esteem in children who face various emotional and social challenges?
Technology and Psychological Well-Being: What challenges do technological advances pose for psychological well-being? How can technology assist individuals in achieving and sustaining psychological well-being? How can psychologists utilize artificial intelligence to promote the psychological well-being of individuals, groups, and various communities?
Gender Issues Related to Psychological Well-Being: To what extent does psychological well-being influence coping with stigma around sexual identity and gender expression? How do social and cultural norms relate to psychological well-being? What is the effect of psychological well-being on dealing with sexual violence and trauma? What role does gender play in establishing coping strategies for stress and emotional challenges? What cultural factors associated with gender impede achieving and preserving psychological well-being
Marginalization and Psychological Well-Being: How does double marginalization impact individuals in groups that are marginalized across multiple dimensions (e.g., gender, ethnicity, sexual orientation)? How can social and educational policies be modified to better address the needs of individuals who experience double marginalization? What can we learn from the experiences of groups affected by double marginalization, and how can interventions be enhanced to support their integration and equality in society?
Since psychological well-being can be studied from an interdisciplinary perspective, scholars, researchers, and professionals from diverse fields are encouraged to submit their papers for the conference.
The conference will be in English.

Abstract Submission
Submitted abstracts must not exceed 300 words. They should also include 3-5 keywords. The abstract must consist of the name(s) of the corresponding author(s), title, affiliation, and email address. Abstracts should be submitted to confpsych.up@uni-pr.edu.

Acceptance Notification: July 11, 2025
Conference Proceedings: October 9 – 10, 2025
Final Paper Submission: October 31, 2025
Please be informed that selected papers will be published in the Department of Psychology journal. Authors will receive instructions for publication along with their notification of acceptance for the conference abstract.
